About Karl Israelsen
Karl Israelsen is one of the Managing Partners at the Blue Field Venture Capital fund. He is also the co-Founder of Blue Field Capital. Karl manages the operations and investments of Blue Field Capital’s funds, where he leverages his background and his experience in fund operations, real estate development, investment management, business operations and business development.
Since formation of the firm, Karl has overseen the creation and deployment of approximately $100M of capital into 40+ real estate assets, and exits with transaction value of $400M.
Prior to Blue Field Capital, Mr. Israelsen was a founder and managing partner of Carman Lehnhof Israelsen LLP, a corporate and securities law firm. Mr. Israelsen has over 15 years’ experience structuring and organizing real estate funds, strategic partnerships and joint ventures, capital formation, M&A and private equity transactions, corporate governance, and advising owners and investors on general corporate matters.
Over the past 10 years, Mr. Israelsen has been involved personally as a founder, director or early investor in a number of real estate projects and other business ventures. Karl has served as an adjunct professor of Economics and Finance at Utah State University and currently serves on the board of Ho’ola Lahui Hawaii, a native Hawaiian healthcare system.
Mr. Israelsen holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Utah State University, a Master of Professional Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin, and a Juris Doctor from the University of Chicago.
